Dear NW: When you mentioned having locked in your oil price last year I asked around to see if I could do the same thing up here (in RI). All the people I spoke with thought it was a great idea _but_ we were unable to find a local company that does this.

This weekend I'm going to take a walk through my woods to locate fallen trees I can easily cut up and get out via a wheel barrow. When oil prices are low, so is my incentive to gather this free wood. Now that oil prices are high and expected to go higher, it's time to give my chain saw a work out.

BTW, my neighbors told me last night that the local guys who sell wood are currently tying the price of wood to oil. Just as does oil, so, too, does wood pricing change on a daily basis.

Regards,

Lynn
