I get the distinction.

Its really all just a matter of movement and time. The only difference is how much time, and whether you have a real basis to forecast the direction.

You have any opinion on DCLK? It doesn't look so bad on paper, except their P/E is probably going to be enourmous for their first few qrtrs profitability...if they stay profitable.

I expect this kind of misinformation from CNBC, but most certainly not from you.

The typical daytrader looks for 2-4% kind of moves (thats 1 or 2 points on a $50 stock), and has about 10-50 round trips a day. Unless its a penny stock anything with less than 1/2 point potential isn't worth touching.

I agree scalping teenies is a fools game.

Holding long term shorts is a lot saner though.
