I will save Lizzie the trouble of having to dig on the list of companies. Here is an outdated list. Brocade, Sycamore (founder also found Ascend Communications before LU bought it out), INTC pentium chip designer was an Indian.
Credit is due to both US which makes starting and thriving of a business easier and to the founders of companies who at some point have taken huge risks.

Old-timers (not neccassirily found by Indians, but are currently managed by them):
Hartford Financial Group (HIG-Nyse)
U.S Airways (U-Nyse)
Providian Financial Corp (PVN-Nyse)
Ispat International (IST-Nyse)
Eathan Allen (Nyse-ETH)
Rohm & Haas (ROH-Nyse) and United (UAL) got 'overseas Indians' as Vice Chairman and President at their helm

There are other old-timers but I don't recall all of them.

Here is a list of about 100 tech companies in USA founded/co-founded or run by 'overseas Indians'

Most,if not all are listed on Nasdaq, you will have to check and see. (Of course Bose Corporation is not listed as it is still a private company)

If they keep on holding them they'll be sorry.
