There were a few more than that, but they were generally of the "I heard a good story" variety, occasionally of the anecdotal embellishment variety, and rarely anything one would take seriously. In fact, it turned out that some of them that were disbelieved initially, like the one about the heroic black sailor at Pearl Harbor, were true.......Anyway, yes, the sheer volume of Gore invention is breathtaking......

That's a riot. Reagan communicated two events in 8 years as president and they're comparing him to Al Whopper Gore who can't get through a 90 minute debate without inventing a half dozen fairy tales.

The total count in the first debate was 32 or one every 3 minutes or one every minute and a half of his speaking time.
