Hi Charles, I think world events are overshadowing the markets. I still think energy and interest rates are prime concerns for investors. The unfortunate truth is that energy is the bigger problem because of it's geo-political nature. Regardless of who is in the white house after the election, someone HAS to deal with it and do so right away. Now is the time for action, not endless debate and hand wringing about what to do. Our economy can easily lapse into inflation and recession at the same time if we don't shore up a coherent energy policy.

Dear Charles and all: Well, I think we were MAYBE headed for a break out to the upside which MIGHT have ended the turndown until this Mideast thing occurred. Since then I have been so angry over the loss of these AMERICAN people I havent given much thought to my AWFUL looking portfolio. I am 57 years old and seems to me this Jew vs Arab thing has been going on all my life. Everytime they flare up its AMERICAN men and women who give the ULTIMATE sacrifice. I am SICK OF IT. I blame BOTH PARTIES. This time it was that pompous ass Israeli who felt it necessary to go to an Arab Mosque and irritate them. I have come to the conclusion both sides just like to quarrel and fight. I wish our politicians would worry more about AMERICANS and less about Middleeasterners of whatever persuasion. We have 5 or so known dead and 12 missing. Well, dont see how anyone could be MISSING on a 160 foot boat!! I suspect they were BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS. How do you suppose THEIR loved ones feel? I could go on but by now I probably have upset some of you already. Just venting my FRUSTRATIONS. JDN
