(OTC:WAMX) has set an incredible mission for itself: To alter forever the world of securities investment, and the way individuals and small institutions trade stocks. "We believe we have the proprietary technology to power a sophisticated Internet Trading System that puts buyer and seller together with no need of middlemen," said Sascha Mundstein, CEO of the "new" Wamex. "Our ITS technology, we suggest, may be able to eliminate excessive trading spreads as well as the inefficiencies of restrictive market hours." Can that be done? Yes, said Mundstein. The new Wamex is refining and enhancing the basic ITS software engine for licensing to would-be operators such as investment houses. Wamex is in the process of preparing an offering to accredited shareholders to finance that final step, but no target dates have as yet been set. The individual "trader of tomorrow," Mundstein predicts, will be able to access an independent investment house which is powered by Wamex technology, and execute a trade easily and directly, one-to-one with another individual trader, with low commissions, no middlemen and prices set by the traders themselves. Internet Trading Systems powered by Wamex ITS technology may be able to virtually eliminate the manipulation of stock prices that has outraged investors in the past year and reportedly deluged the Securities Exchange Commission with complaints and demands for change. To explain its ITS concepts, Wamex is launching an Integrated Information Campaign to educate investors. It will soon include a "short course" in the conceptual and practical aspects of the system, free to the investing public, Mundstein said. The new Wamex has just opened a feature on its web site (http://www.wamx.com): "Ask The CEO" on which concerned Wamex shareholders can ask questions and get direct answers, posted for all to see. "The support of informed shareholders is essential to our success," Mundstein said. "There are trading systems now available to brokers and market makers, he said, but individuals and small institutional investors are barred from using them directly. There is, today, no Internet trading system open to them. Wamex believes it has the technology to help change that."
