Maybe part of that is higher interest rates. That wouldn't describe the market in the city though, to my knowledge. I spent the night in an advertising .com er's 'hood conversion ('transition neighborhood') that sold for $250,000 two years ago. An upstairs unit recently went on the market at $500,000 plus and was bid up. These values won't be dropping back to 1998 levels. --- In my area, the median home price keeps ratcheting UP. Currently it's $740,000, which I believe is up from $500 - $550 last year. Homes don't sit on the market, here. -JCJ
