Taiwan eases share buy-back rules to boost market
TAIPEI, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Taiwan's Ministry of Finance said on Friday it had eased rules to encourage listed firms to buy back their own shares effective from Monday in a bid to prop up share prices in its battered stock market
The revised rules will allow firms to buy the stocks within two months of tendering the applications to regulators, easing from the previous one month requirement, the statement said.

The maximum daily stock buybacks by any listed firm cannot exceed one-third of its total planned buyback of shares, easing from the previous one-fourth restriction, it said.

The revision, which will become effective from Monday, was made according to suggestions of listed firms to better show the buyback effect in supporting share prices, it said.
