Sly:

No question those were good numbers. Unfortunately, the problem we all have now is that we have entered a "PE shrink" period (I posted a few thoughts on that on the clown thread last night).

The additional difficulty is that the market appears to have awakened to the fact that it has been "had" by the sleight-of-hand accounting of the likes of IBM, INTC, MSFT, etc. Unfortunately, the clean accounting of the many will now be tarred with the same brush applied to the deserving few.

I prefer to be a bull, but I think it is going to be more profitable to be a bear (in the tech sector at least) as the market goes through a needed catharsis.

It might make much sense to take profits "early" in this flighty and nervous market.

Best, Earlie
