I have seen worse, and yet, it always shocks me time and time again. That is something to which you cannot develop immunity to. The cynicism of Arafat in trying to get "his way" by instigating the death of many of his own brothers disgust me.

Using Sharon's visit to the mount as an excuse is just as bad (Sharon has been to the mount many times before, what was different this time?). It happen to be a Jewish holy place as much as a Muslim holy place, both religions have been and will be able to worship there. Actually, it is the third most holy site in Islam (after Meca and Medina), but the holiest site in Judaism, the site of Solomon's temple.

Dear cellhigh,

Thank you for giving me the words to express the way I feel today about the Middle East Situation, and about most other human conflicts.

Sometimes, I wear myself out trying to explain to people that there are at least two sides to every situation, when nobody wants to hear it. From now on, I'm just going to say, "I'm sad," and "I can't believe the way humans treat each other," because that's the way I feel; and you've given me the ability to say so, simply and clearly.

I think what you have said will make people stop and think, if anything can. If not, then at least you know one other person shares and appreciates your feelings. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Angie
