Who will Gore/Lieberman support? The group who just had their major religious event of the year.

How prepared is the US and the Western world for war. I'm thinking of strategic stockpiles of ammo, base metals that are used to make brass and consequently ammo and shells casings etc.

goldsnow: I am not inclined to one party over the other -- and so I may just be going by my own personal reactions. My reaction however is that Bush really knows little if anything about the world outside the US -- and that could be very dangerous. I travel about 100,000 miles a year outside the US -- over a million miles in the last ten years -- and still consider myself "naive". For example, to the best of my knowledge, I was the first person back in to China on "official business" after the bombing of their embassy. When I hear Bush I hear the voice of a second year college student -- and that is not a great complement. The thought of Bush presiding over a terrorist-plagued political minefield like the ME is not a happy thought to me. CP would not want to go in unless there was a mission -- what the hell would that be? To defend the oilfields, the pipelines and the tankers? Good luck. To prevent fighting? No way. The only real card the US has to play is diplomatic, and I don't even think Bush has seen the game played, much less done anything to show he knows how to put together a winning hand.
