I lived in the mountains of Santa Cruz. Big Basin National Park was my backyard, my front yard was a 25 acre meadow that overlooked Monterey Bay which was at least 50 miles away. It was beautiful.I am going to visit Cal. this Dec. and am going to your fair city. I loved Calif. still do, but my favorite place was were I just moved from in Ill. I got to wake up everyday to the most beautiful sunrises, scarlet, pink, and orange hues. I could watch the thunderstorms from my rocking chair on the back porch as they whirled there incredible violence upon the earth, and mostly I loved to watch the horses dancing in the fog in the morning.
