Hi blake_paterson; If both Rambus and Samsung believe that Samsung owes Rambus royalties on DDR and SDRAM, don't you think it would be in the best interests of both parties if they signed an agreement as quickly as possible?

Samsung would be assured of getting a sweet deal, since they realize that Rambus is sure to get those royalties, someday.

Rambus would get a beautiful stock bump. And the Samsung signing would put a lot more pressure on Hyundai, Infineon and Micron, not to mention IBM and Nanya, as well as the memory controller makers like AMD, Intel, Apple, Sun, etc.

Most of the year has gone by since Rambus got the patent and sued Hitachi. Surely that is enough time to get a deal with Samsung. They got the deal with Toshiba, as well as the "fake" deals with NEC and Hitachi, why not Samsung?

Hey, I'm not saying that Rambus doesn't have a deal with Samsung in the works, I'm just saying that it sure seems like a long time coming.
