I hope Rick is right about a market turn. The DOW drop today seems to be in memory of the oil impact from the Gulf War. History runs in patterns, but is a little different each time. The Mid-East situation will remain unstable, and an unknown, for a few days or weeks. The tax selling and seasonal factors have been hard on the market, as well as the fact that this has been the most uncertain presidential race in about 20 years. At least that becomes a "known" by November 8.

My own opinion is that the techs have been pretty-well wrung out, and while that trend could run for a while longer, we should be expecting a decent tech rally in the next several weeks. I haven't had to sell any biotechs, since I've become more conservative about using margin. Stocks like those in the portfolio, IMO, don't need to be traded or timed so much as held for a longer horizon. The portfolio's record speaks for itself-kind of an unsung informational gem on the web. Glad you guys didn't go nuts and start a newsletter. It's a nice place to visit here.
