So would I, but then again, 90% of people who buy computers don't know a darn thing about them and will just buy the bigger number assuming it has to be faster. If there were applications that pushed any of these high end processors to their limits then we'd be able to clearly see the difference, but there aren't. You'd probably have a tough time telling the difference between a 700mhz duron and a 1.2ghz tbird on 99% of the applications out there. So even if the p4 does benchmark worse, people probably won't be able to tell the difference and will be happy owning their bigger number and still recommend it to all their friends.
