Need on part of the FRB, or just your opinion? Given that the Euro has continued to drop when the differential was about 2%, perhaps a smaller differential is what is necessary for stabilizing the Euro? That's good for the whole world economy, and doesn't harm the USD in any way.

Also, I think that trying to analyze a currency's strength solely on basis of interest rates is a folly (consider the Yen, for example). What is most important in the underlying strength of the economy.

In any case, I understand that you are focusing on the short term, while I am looking at the long term.
