Penni sounds like a hick. Wow. I was thinking Jane Pauley with a bit of theatrical edge. I've decided to modestly take credit for the market rebound today. Accomplished it by simply ignoring the market and going to down to the Kemah Boardwalk, a new tourist development on Galveston Bay ... shops, restaurants, stuff for the kids, boats sailing by, seagulls, and a synthetic boardwalk. The only negative happened after lunch when I decided to get one for the road, a raspberry ice cream cone at Marble Slab Creamery. The clerk, without asking, had the nerve to give me my first-ever senior discount, $2.45 v $3.23 for the cone. My ego would have gladly paid the difference. So it was extra special to return home to the big market recovery. I'm better now.
