Have you forgotten the Yom Kippur war of '73 so quickly?

They launched an oil embargo then when we were less dependent on their oil. Now that they have us by the scrotum economically, what leads you to believe that they won't seek to use it to their advantage?

Their economic fates are tied up with ours to a much greater degree than they were in '73. And I simply don't see that they would gain any significant advantage by attacking Israel, or trying to impose an embargo on the US.

I do a lot of business with a company based in Dubai, run by a Dutch fellow who has been based there for many years, doing business throughout the middle east. He reports that Arab nationalism is at an all time low: people want to make money and live well, and they don't give a hot goddamn about the Palestinians and the Zionists. One person's view, of course, and hardly representative of the entire picture, but worth considering.
