Sarmad: "the US is not interested in "friends" in the middle east. The US installed a few lackeys, and "contains" the rest" I agree with the spirit of what you are saying -- it was what I was implying. The ME is not called politically unstable without good cause. We often overlook the way the trees in the ME are connected at the roots. These are the times when governments can be overturned -- there are many power plays that can unfold, mostly against our interests. Unrest works against us -- which is why Presidents work so hard to prevent it, and why our "enemies" try so hard to stir it up.
