Ibexx,

It would be nice if you and others could keep your personal political opinions off this thread. (Bush/Gore/Barak/Sharon/Arafat etc.)

I happen to be completely pro-Israeli on this thing and don't think it completely inhumane to shoot at angry mobs of rock throwing Palestinians. (And if you think, as TV seems to portray, that the poor little Palestinian's violence ends with throwing rocks then you truly ARE naive.) It seems to me that every time the "dovish" Israeli's make concessions to the PLO they are rewarded for their efforts with angry demands for still more. The "peace" eventually degenerates to more terrorism of Israeli civilians, usually involving explosives. IMO, there are situations where your "peace" must be physically inforced in order to get established. Most soft-headed humanitarians can't even discipline a child throwing a tantrum but feel perfectly comfortable telling the Israeli's how to conduct a 4,000 year-old war? I think we ought to keep the Q thread on topic, and take the discussion of Israeli and American politics elsewhere.

Aloha, Mike
