Sobering.

When we appear headed into a Bear Market, I like to refer back to this chart of the Bears of 1987, 1990, and 1998:

One takeaway is that Bears are of shorter duration of late than in the past, but that does not mean that we will not see a Bear of longer duration like 1987's again. We have been lulled into some serious complacency.

Scary part of the market observations you posted is the prophecy "we should see a bottom no later than 02/04/01 if the consolidation zone is the target".
