I agree that Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount was deliberately provocative. On the other hand, the virulence of the reaction suggests that any settlement would not have held.

I haven't seen pictures of any Israelis proudly showing Palestinian blood on their hands with the mob roaring approval.

That, however doesn't mean it, or something equally atrocious, hasn't occurred.

When pests begin to seriously impact civilization, humanity tends to exterminate.
