Micheal ... About Laptops

>>>WHY is CPQ seemingly failing to gain mind-share and market-share in the laptop marketplace ???

Which products made the difference on the bottom line?

The portable lineup was rewarded with 31 percent growth year-over-year--in fact, 41 percent sequentially. And that's a big part of the turnaround, because those tend to be higher-profit, higher-margin devices.

Michael - Why do you feel DELL and IBM are "eating CPQ's lunch"? CPQ's laptop sales have been almost as strong as DELLs, and way stronger than the rest of the commercial line. Consumer grew laptops at over 70% and commercial grew laptops over 30%.

IBM has gotten good response to a fine laptop line. DELL also has strong products. They deserve to get some share.

But why do you feel CPQ is weak in this area?
