An interesting point about this rally [if selling has dried up for the time being] is that the 'news' is likely to be "OK" for a while... I mean it can't get worse.

10:22AM Dow sees triple-digit gains ($INDU, $COMPQ, $TNX, $BKX, $XBD, $OSX) by Tomi Kilgore
Despite stronger-than-expected economic data and escalating violence in the Middle East, stocks are extending earlier gains. The Dow Industrials ($INDU) are now up about 106.92 to 10,141.50, and the Nasdaq Composite ($COMPQ) is 77.15 better at 3,151.83 (see 9:51 item). Financial stocks are shrugging off the higher rates, as witnessed by the 3.3 percent gain in the Phlx Bank Index ($BKX) and a 2.7 percent rally in the Amex Securities Broker/Dealer Index ($XBD). November crude futures (CL=X0) are slipping 51 cents to $35.55, despite a terrorist attack on the British embassy in Yemen. The Phlx Oil Service Index ($OSX) is giving up 2.7 percent
