Pukka, Cowboy, Graydog (why does Puna call you that, Santiago?): Puna, KLP, (Sarkie, too, I believe)and I took positions in Haysac, as Puna calls it, when it was in the mid to high 20s. Some bought in again around 4, several months ago. I did not, but I am holding, like the others, because we are captives. Pukka, you are pessimistic. Cowboy, and Graydog, you are optimistic. Before I determine whether vel non to commit to averaging down now, I would appreciate hearing details of the reasoning underlying your divergent views, as your posts indicate some recent due diligence by the three of you...Pukka, I do not know whether O'Brien is an idiot or not, but I do agree that he is not a persuasive communicator, judging by at least one of his PRs, which I deemed untimely and inane. Also, if you three are able to do so, would you express your expectations concerning the upcoming conference call on 11/7/00 (Election Day, a strange choice of time). As noted in my earlier post (#903) on 10/5 in which I stated some of the views iterated here, I have no recollection of a Haysac earnings report conference call in the past. Of course, I, and I assume some or all of the other captives, would appreciate thoughtful comment from anyone else who possesses helpful information.
