I agree some what but the condition are different this time around. 1) We had an artificial millennium run caused by investors wearing rose colored glasses and companies themselves caused by the perceived greatness of the NET. This enthusiasm went wide and far. Now we have the reality of it all. 2) Slowing economy, corporate America is warning one by one. Caused by the FED 3) Telecom spending slow down Caused by pressure on the bottom line. see number 1. 4) The market finally realizing the PC industry peaked months ago. Caused by the PC reaching nirvana and will be further along by more bandwidth as we switch to thin client as the need for a CPU to control hard drives because less of a need. 5) Finally Oil, caused by oil companies refusal to poke holes in the ground unless it makes sense at $10 bl and build new refineries, which was foster by Wall Streets demand for a better bottom line!

see number 3,

Will Wall Street demands on the telecom sector do the same dark magic on the telecom sector like it did on the Oil industry, by slowing down the very condition that will creat the Next Big Thing More Bandwidth?
