at least im still up about 20% on the year I, for one, really appreciate the honesty you show in describing your situation. It's probably not much comfort, but you're not alone in getting whipsawed this year; at one point I was up almost 100% YTD, the spring meltdown knocked me back...OMG...75%...that's not 75% of gains, that's 75% of everything :-( ...and now I've clawed my way back to +25% YTD and holding a (very) few positions I'm long-term comfortable with. It's been an interesting year, that's for d*mn sure! A definete test of adaptability.
