If this was a tax free exchange, the tax basis will carryover.

Sarkie, I believe my formula to be correct, but I am not refiguring cost basis of GNET shares based on INSP prices. I am doing so on GNET prices. For example, if one purchased 100 shares of GNET at $50, the total cost of those shares is $5000. (I am not including commissions, etc. in this example, but, of course, they are to be included in total cost of purchase). Then, divide the $5000 by 182 (the number of INSP shares received for the 100 shares of GNET). This process yields the cost basis of an INSP share...$27.4725...I am open to comment and correction, as arithmetic is beyond my meager geezer talents.

Sarkie, in connection with bosquedog's response, I should add that the prospectus advised that this is a tax free exchange. Moreover, to determine whether a sale of the converted shares is a long or short term taxable event, I believe that the date of purchase of the GNET shares governs.

Again, the usual geezer disclaimer.

Just called my broker, and he said the cost basis would remain the same...and as Sy said we will receive 1.82 shares of INSP for each GNET share....

My questions is when do the GNET shares become INSP here on SI on our portfolios???
