Hi Vman,

My memory fails me and I can't remember where the 40min/sub came from? I recall some discussion on it, but calculated 85 min/sub (1.1mmou/13ksubs) from the second quarter results. The CEUT predictions of 2.6mmou and 25ksubs yield 104mou/sub. If the CEUT predictions are close then the trend is in the right direction, 22% increase in mou/sub. What's your take on the CEUT estimates? Cr@p, boss just reminded me about a boring meeting I've gotta attend.

Best regards,
hiker90

Vman, I know you love to point out the lower than estimated MOU/sub - but rather pointless at this juncture. First, initial calculations were predicated on FAU's, none of which have generated a single minute that I'm aware of. Those were to be the MOU generating studs of the system.

Second, the whole data arena was to be a side line. Nice incidental value added, but "G* will make it as a voice system or it won't make it at all" was the battle cry. Now IFN alone claims they can max G*. Data has moved front and center in the search for "killer niches" such as IFN, ARNAV, Wingcast etc. As you correctly point out, the $$/MOU may have to be recalculated, but that's true of the entire profile of the MOU generators. Hardly a discouraging chain of events.

I don't know if the CDMA option was prescient or just dumb luck on BLS's part, but it certainly seems to be paying dividends in creating applications not even contemplated when the birds were being hatched.
