McJimmy - Re: "Probably more like the Willy being like the Pentium 60/66 but with 2 sticks of expensive RDRAM..."

Get off your AMDroid RAMBUS HATE schtick !

Where is it written that every new product has to be introduced CHEAP ?

The Pentium 4 is a high end CPU and people expect to pay a higher price for it which will initially include a higher memory cost.

Over time, Intel has shown a continual cost reduction in both CPU and system costs - witness the Pentium III and the i815E chip set.

If you can't figure out where Intel is going with their technology, then you've been sniffing Jerry's derriere too much.

Look at AMD's stock price and you'll see where CHEAP gets you.

Paul

Jimbo - Intel is up >$3 today - and $1 3/4 yesterday.

Aren't you glad you don't own much of Intel?
