The Peace process would be over if The palastineans would give up on getting Jerusalem."

Yes, you are right, peace would be much more achievable all over the world if underdogs would simply give up their claims to those who are physically stronger.

It takes *two* inflexible positions to turn an issue into a "deal breaker", Mike.

It is amazing how everyone has figured out the palastenians are the problem. This issue has been going on for too long and it will not be solved by giving your opinions on QCOM thread.

Majority of the Palastinians are born with blood in their eyes. They have nothing to loose thanks to years and years of having no future. All they know is war and killing the jews is part of their daily living tasks like washing their face, eating, or going to the bathroom. The jews, on the other hand, are the lost people in search for a homeland as long as they are on earth.

Is this a way to live?

Who wants to live with having no future?
Who wants to live knowing that they might be killed any minute?

Please look at both sides of the issue . . .

Case closed,

Lets move on,

Just another opinion . . .

We've had outbreaks of rioting in communities in the US where the living conditions are so *vastly* superior to what the Palestinians "enjoy" it isn't funny. Nothing in the Israeli economy trickles down to those people, they're just unfortunate pawns in the power struggle that's been going on there for ages. For the extremists (and on both sides), these people and the situation they find themselves in is a godsend.

Very knowledgeable people in the international oil biz tell me that the grinding poverty in which most Islamic radicals [Osama Bin Laden excepted] live is by far the strongest catalyst promoting terrorism in the Middle East. The lack of hope for a better future and religious extremism makes for an incendiary combination which is manipulated politically by people like Arafat and others.

Makes sense to me. The situation is exacerbated by the presence of fabulous wealth fabulously squandered in countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Mike you should stick to qcom and art galleries<vbg>.I don't think you know what you are talking about. The issue of the palestinians and jews needs some reading and research to be fully understood.I recommend starting in the 1920s.As far as Israel's economy,it sucks and is dependent on over 20 bil a year of US aid.

I am not an Arab but live in the middle east.Their history goes back as far as the Roman's and find them quite pleasant and simple people.

We have some very close friends here who are American/British advisors to the military <vbg>.I have heard a lot of true stories about falkland Islands,Bosnia,Kosovo,Honduras,Panama and etc.etc. there are no shining knights out there and our own US government is today probably involved in a couple of hundred black ops around the world and does business with some of the worst human beings.

What would enlisted service men be doing helping the comer rouge in Cambodia and supplying pol pot with weapons. This guy supposedly killed 2 million cambodians in the 70s/80s/90s.

Dont be naive and don't believe a word of what CNN reports.

Mike, lets not forget that the "palastineans" had their land stolen from them after WW II. The people to blame are the ones that set the ball rolling in the first place, they blew it back then!
