exactly my point. AMD was "harmlessly" going up, as Intel was also. No problem for the analysts...in fact, make some extra money on AMD while your clients are happy with Intel's performance. When Intel starts to falter and AMD is mentioned as the probable cause, then you are messing with billions of dollars in capital losses.

Al,

Between March-May when AMD was sky rocketing, Intel (as well as most of the rest of the Naz) was tanking. I don't remember anyone at that time blaming AMD's good fortune for Intel's losses.

Sanders is not a good guy, corporate type....he grew up on the streets of Chicago...

AMD has outgrown Sanders. Simple as that. The company retains a "clown" reputation because the guy behaves like one each and everytime he talks to the media.

If AMD retains its clown image, its because of its past mistakes......though, personally, I think it shed that image during the last two quarters. The analysts dislike Sanders because he has proven them wrong and then has been arrogant enough to rub their faces in it....just like McNealy of SUNW and a few others......it works as long as you are successful.

And frankly, it doesn't bother me; so long as AMD is successful, they can't and won't hold the stock back. And if AMD falls back to its old ways, I would sell it anyways. Besides, AMD/Sanders produce a tangible product; what do analysts produce but reams of paper. Personally, I think their days as important participants in the market are numbered.

And you may think Sanders is rough around the edges but listen when he speaks....he is eloquent and his voice is extremely clear.....a man who is confortable with himself and who sleeps well at night.
