No slowdown as many suspected. Given how the networkers were hit, it is very unusual for an earnings report that strong. One would have expected about 180million as an outer very optimistic number.
I think they company exceeded the most bullish hopes on earnings.
Many would have taken the strength in JNPR as a shorting or profit taking opportunity (in the past few days)given this environment of PEs coming down. Remember the fears in spending slowdowns--those stories were floating around for so long.
AMCC, PMCS are also telling us that the slowdown scenario is not developing in this sector.

Given these factors, the stock is poised for significant moves up.

BTW--notice the trading afterhours yesterday--down to 198 before rebounding. The shorts were all over this stock. Did you notice the reference to a Price to Sales talk this morning on CNBC? That is what made it an easy target in the current environment no matter how good the business was. I think we are just setting up for a HUGE short covering rally. Expecting to see it full steam next week. I also think JNPR will announce a stock split sometime soon.
