I wonder how much of the action today was short covering--either by people who had been holding short positions for a long time, plus some who were beginning to pile on in the last few days.

It was a little discouraging (for a bear) to see the quote.com live charts today--but if you change from a 5-minute horizon to a two-year, it's a lot better.

Would you immigrate to EU and work there, Wayne? Before immigrating to the USA, I did a lot of research about economic and employment prospects in EU, Canada and Australia, in addition to the USA. I urge you to read the recent articles in the Economist about how the EU economy is doing.
