Today was awesome.....whatever it does or doesn't mean, or whether it holds or doesn't, it did one thing at least: it gave hope for Nov/Dec....This market needed this big time as one more leg down into the 2000's may have just killed any chance for a late year bounce. Forget about everything else - the one thing we don't want ot see is fund redemptions. Heavy fundredemptions in a market that dipped to 2800 or so would have been catastrophic for any late year/early '01 rally hopes...We were close there and today gives a little breathing room. Best case scenario is that this was the 2000 bottom and it's over...I don't know, and if I did I'd be much wealthier and not posting here or even bothering to trade anymore 'cause I'd have more cash than Gates.....I don't:) So say what you will about today....it saved the the next 5 months though. It did.
