Well, JDN, with what's happening (in the market and in the election) I think we can all plan on a very nice November - January runup. Here's why:

1. The market is trashing everything indiscriminately, including good companies.

2. Half the market's gains have occurred in November - January in the past 30+ years (see my study).

3. During the Clinton administration, the markets had great years when Republicans were setting the agenda (11/94 - 11/98) -- and it now appears pretty certain that Republicans will be setting the agenda from 11/00 - 11/02 at the very least.

If I had any money I'd be buying in during the coming weeks.

... my price targets for December 1, 2000

Nasdaq Composite ..... 2500, -25% from today's 3317
S&P 500 ..... 960, -30% from today's 1374
DJIA ..... 7450, -27% from today's 10192

... by then, we will have had real fear, panic and total capitulation, and the circumstances may then be right to set a true bottom to the 2000 bear market ... and a view to the end of what will become known as the 2000-2001 recession ...

Disclaimer: The above is my personal opinion. I recommend that you do not base your investment decisions solely on any one person's views or analysis (including mine). Do your own research and take personal responsibility for your investment decisions.

Ken "abby joseph" Wilson - I'm not always correct (as you well know), but I call them like I see them and put my money behind my own analysis - something you can definitely not count on from professionals like Ms Cohen, Joe Battapaglia, Larry Kudlow etc.
