In your code, you just use the "-1" or "-2" after your parameters. In other words if you want the value as of 5 days ago, it would read (DMA,-5) or (EMA,-5) Of course you would have whatever you moving average was in front of the DMA or EMA.

I still get messed up on some of the more tricky ways of doing this if your code is very complicated though. The easiest way now that you know what you are looking for is to look through the existing formulas in there and steal their formatting.

Good Luck,

Lee

I'm using a Dos tech analysis program. I also use QuotePlus EOD data to convert to the Metastock f.dat/dop format.

My challenge is I need a program that will look at an F.dat
file and determine what symbol it is.

The Dos analysis program takes me to the directories where the f.dat files are, (10,000 files), and I have to load an f.dat file to determine its symbol.

The only solution from Equis is to copy each of the 10,000 f.dat files in a separate directory and use Metastock to identify each symbol, (I should live so long).

Naturally opening an f.dat file shows only codes.
Is there some type of program that will convert f.dat files to symbols and be able to view via dos?

Thanks,

Dominick
