"You're correct, it is still a baby. If you can't bring yourself to see a difference between a college fling and being pinned down and raped.....well we see things differently."

What difference does that make to the fetus? Isn't killing a baby that is the product of rape just as bad as killing a baby that is not the product of rape?

That is where you guys lose your incredibility. Either ALL abortions should be be legal, or NO abortions should be legal.

This "in between" stuff is ridiculous. If a fetus is to be regarded as a human life, then it makes no difference how it was conceived (rape, incest, or accident) or what trimester it is in.

No....It's legal. However it does carry some judgement from society. Cigarettes are legal too but people who smoke them are judged...Right or wrong.

I read somewhere that this is the heart of the matter, judgement from society. None of else will ever settle this issue, especially in a forum like this. No one is going to change their mind. (As an aside my mind changed when I kept hearing it's a woman's choice and someone once said to me,"Who speaks for the child?" Where is their choice? It sounds so simple, but that is the gist of it).

Back to judgement from society. Someone once wrote it will probably take longer than a generation, but what we have to do is make the act of abortion a social taboo, something someone would be so ashamed to do, that they wouldn't even consider it. Only then do we have a chance of ending it.
