Seeing you post here brings back memories of the good old days...should I add Chic to the Yogi index? <G>
Fortunately the NASDAQ hasn't gone to 40,000 like the Nikkei did. On the downside, it won't be as easy slowing this economy down as some think since the tax cut on sale of a residence has shifted a lot of money around....
So other parts of the economy will suffer while AG tries to slow that anamolie down...

The discrepancy is even worse than you imagine.

If you adjust the Nikkei P/E to US GAAP to put it on an apples to apples basis with the NDX, the Nikkei P/E at its peak would have been 30% lower, making the difference even larger.
