Solon, I saw a really cute little subversive movie you might like- it's called "But I'm A Cheerleader." Perhaps you've already seen it? It's a very funny look at deprogramming gay kids- sort of Polyester meets "the Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls In Love." This really COULD have been a Waters film (and I say that as high compliment). "But I'm a Cheerleader" is the story of Megan. Cute blonde Megan the cheerleader who thinks she's just like all the other cheerleaders- only she doesn't like making out with her boyfriend. But she doesn't know....she's a lesbian! Until her parents and her friends do an intervention and send her to a cute little deprogramming school for confused boys and girls.

I loved it.

Tonight I watched The Color of Paradise. Sad. But next I'm watching Committed- with Heather Grahm (Rollergirl, from Boogie Nights). I am really looking forward to it. I saw Best of Show at the theatre last week and that was GREAT. Woman on Top is also very good. As you might expect from the title.
