<<will get up around 3500 or so on more good earnings ,a Fibonacci retracement, and then we will have our typical late-earnings season yawn and will retest at least 3150. Any thoughts?>>

We should see 3500, or so before next Friday (Wednesday-ish)...expirations week...lots of 'in the money puts' out there...I'm sure the big guys want a piece of it. Did you notice all the analysts suddenly talking up tech...

September has been very painful on the long side (ouch). Many who are holding will look for an early exit...making a strong case for a retest (or worse) as early as the following week...curious to see how it plays out.

Many on this board are playing the short side...Personally, I don't like it...kinda like being in the foreclosure business. In any case, the high number of shorts continues to make thread plays challenging...but that's life. An effective strategy is to hold off on buying immediately...I'm getting much better prices after they knock things down...making the pops that much better, because st shorts are on board (no sympathy here for a squeezed short...comes with the turf)...it's all a big game of chess.
