Lizzie, I really don't know. I think what Jim is saying is that MSFT is in all the indices and carries a lot of weight. If it had rallied today the indices would have been up half again as much as they were.

Jim is a strategist in his trading where I am for the most part a technical trader.

I think MSFT still matters but they don't carry the weight they used to in the market. They are in my backyard and I have followed them closely for many years and some of my friends have worked there a long time.
They will come out of this suit ok in time but other markets have developed around them. They will still make money going forward and they have a lot of cash to play with.

The only big question I have is what is Bill going to do with all the $$ that Microsoft can play with? At times in the past when I thought Microsoft had dropped the ball they somehow managed to make the correct decision and move into new markets. Obviously that won't go on forever.

I'm not putting Bill out to pasture yet.
