Then there is the interesting argument that if a woman is raped, it's somehow morally ok to kill THAT baby because it wasn't her fault- and she shouldn't have to take responsibility for the act(this was just argued at the "other" Bush thread). So suddenly we're not talking right to life-- we're talking punitive. This girl was BAD. This one wasn;t. But the product of a rape certainly has as much right to life as any baby, doesn't it? Why is it less of a murder?

The right-to-lifers set their own limits on what's allowed just as the prochoicers do. They just permit a much more narrow choice.

X, I have no problems with killing sperm or unfertilized egg cells.

I didn't say right after conception was ok for abortion. What I was implying and will not directly state is that is it pretty irrelevant to the controversy because that is not when abortion takes place.
