That is far from the idea brought to the table by this administration - they would rather lock up this resource for all time! btw, you sidestepped the obvious point of my argument -

MORE petroleum escapes into the oceans through transporting it here via supertankers than by drilling nearby off shore or here on the mainland! Those which would have us import petroleum instead of using our own due to a perceived environmental concern are simply liars - lying to themselves & all who would listen.
