Craig, I was doing some Hitachi research tonite. I posted to the thread at large but linked to your post because it the was last one written tonite. I did not direct any comments to you personally. Sorry if that was unclear. No offense was intended. The comment was made in regard to this statement in the first link I provided... "Although the Hitachi chip and the SanDisk chip employ different flash cell technologies, the use of a controller with an industry standard ATA interface makes it possible for the two companies to supply CF products which are completely interchangeable with each other.
