I interviewed this guy once about his work. Thought it was rather ingenious. In fact, people who are basically happy tend to work out the day's anxieties in their dreams, and wake up feeling resolved about stuff, whereas depressed people do not--he was able to predict clinical depression from the nature of people's dreams. Also dreams just tend to allow us to process input from the day and throw out the nonsense.

But dreams aren't ONLY a filing system. I've had clairvoyant dreams on occasion. And sometimes my dreams are so obviously about deeper lifelong stuff. Dreams speak to us in many ways.

Bye all--off to the airport.
