Realplayer site says you need 2.2.14.kernel to run their
free linux thingie. I downloaded it onto a 2.0.36 box and it did not run. But perhaps I have to configure a thing for it to work under ipfwdadm as this box is subnetted underneath another one. It is not connected to the net directly. Know anything about that? What do I turn on in this case to get realplayer to runksi? Could have been some other condition. You don't get voluminous error messages when the thing runs just a refusal to show. I have seen file permissions flak other programs out in this way with no warning about why they did not run. I just assumed it was the kernel.

I got nothing on FVWM. I use it on another Linux system. I am used to FVWM95 which is spffier. I admit I like the idea of it but I don't think it is bundled in the rc files of this distribution which is slackware 4.0. How do I go about getting it going on this box so I can switch between the two WM's?

I note that I can start FVWM2, OLWM, OLVWM, MWM, FVWM95, or TWM from my present WM, but not FVWM.

If I build a rc file for it it may run I guess, but how do I get it into the drop down menu? And do I have to download the source from some site?

Lazybones.
