One obvious difference between what Microsoft did and what Sun is doing is that Microsoft had a desktop monopoly. Sun doesn't. (Duh!)

Telecom companies, despite having depressed stock prices, are certainly not trading "well below par." Par value is an antiquated concept, anyway. The Internet is still in early innings. Having a "presence" is a lot different from being fully built out.

You're going to have to present evidence of manipulation by "scam bags" if you expect us to believe you. Just because they own some doesn't mean Fidelity is manipulating it.

Competition is nothing new to Sun. It's not a semiconductor stock.

All JMHO.

Haim, thank you for your post. It seems that the market so far has treated SUNW with optimism and the stock made a come back on Friday. There is talk about SUNW will have a blow-out Q in a few days. I hope so! I will be getting out of 70% of my SUNW stocks at 120. I believe we may see that next week, that is if the "rag-heads" don't go ape-shit again, and if the price of crude lowers or stay stable!!

I own MSFT as well, but in the past year I have done well with SUNW and MSFT has rapresented parked capital! I am sure it will come back, and when it does, SUNW will be in the dog-house! It is always that way!

Kind regards

Yaacov

Dear Haim: Of course there is a lot of competition in the Server market. And of course there is always a Hardware item that performs better in some specific task. SUNW's claim to fame is its SYSTEM including scaleability and all is overall better. I believe it was the CEO of INTC who said that current existing servers represent only 5% of the ones necessary in I think he said over the next 5 years. So, its a big market out there. The idiot.

Haim, at I dont know about valuations. What are your thoughts on why mony is chasing high valuation stocks in such an uncertain market conditions?

Looking at charts of Jnpr, emc, sunw, msft. It seems to me highest mulitples
or even highest PEG is doing better then the lowest PEG.

Can you explain why MSFT is tradiang at trailing pe of 36?
When at 72 trailing PE it was a great buy at any price?

Today JNPR, is a great buy at any price. And I am watching where the big mony is flowin in and out.

On friday morning I was going to trade QQQ but instead I traded sunw, csco simply becasuse I thought MSFT would be a drag on QQQ.

I see even in these uncertain market conditions more mony flowing in to stocks like jnpr then msft or pg etc.

Stocks charts are reflecting moves of what i am talking aobut. Any thoughts? On this chart? U know what the pe and peg are ...
