Yes, I stand corrected. The post was not meant in response to your post. On the other hand it hardly makes a difference since you concur with the thrust of the American Spirit's post.

I supported my statements with facts, reason and rational and all I get in response is rhetorical blather that it was all Nixon's Reagans's and Bush's fault. I'm sure that if folk's made money as a result of existing laws it is no different than you using some tax law to save yourself on your tax bill.

The Congress is our law making body and both houses were controlled by Democrats at the time of these issues.

One might think the casualties were higher during Nixson's years. The exposure for casualties was much greater for Nixson given that all during LBJ's time as president, he keep pouring men in to the tune of 495,000 by the time he left office and Nixson took over. The facts however are that by April 30, 1969, only four months after Nixon took office, 33,641 service personnel had been killed meaning that three fifths of those killed, died during LBJ's term. These are facts.
