Outlook Problem

all of a sudden, my Outlook is telling me that the .pst file containing all of my data is not a personal folders file. it was happily reading the file one minute and then crapping out the next.

i ran Norton Disk Doctor and it found an error with the file. the program is configured to automatically fix errors so i assumed everything was okay. but when i went to check the file later, it had disappeared. NDD had erased it. i ran Norton Unerase and got the file back but Outlook still won't read it as a personal folders file.

i'm not worried about my contacts and notes since they're backed up on my Palm but i've lost about 2 weeks worth of email.

any thoughts?
